ITALY

All Gatti Fly Rods are handmade in Italy with meticulous craftsmanship. Our rods are made with proprietary components crafted in the United States. We are a small, nimble, responsive operation. We control every aspect of our rod-making process. This ensures the superior quality and advanced performance of our fly rods.         

UNITED STATES

We make our components in the United States and send them to our shop in Italy. We do this for very good reasons: Control, Consistency, and Accountability. In the U.S., we have close relationships with the people who make our components. Like us, they are nimble and responsive, nothing like large offshore manufacturers that do not understand our business.


CONTROL

We oversee every step of our component manufacturing. The people who make our components are part of our team and often share ideas to help us improve. We trust them as business friends. Our unique designs and engineering work are always protected from being knocked off or copied.


CONSISTENCY

When we design and engineer a component, it is produced with the specified materials. Our components are made according to our drawings and standards. We are not dependent on large offshore jobbers who may alter materials or processes, causing inconsistent performance, durability, and aesthetics.


ACCOUNTABILITY

By making our components in the U.S., we know that all manufacturing processes are done with proper labor and safety oversight and are 'clean' and sustainable, ensuring our environmental stewardship and responsibility. This means that all methods are EPA and RoHS-compliant, something other rod makers cannot say.

Saltwater Stripping Guides: Fuji Kogya Ltd. Shizuoka, Japan. This is our only exception. After extensive testing, the Fuji guide stood alone for performance and durability.
