Freedom
We support freedom and honor those who defended it. No sacrifice is greater than what these brave individuals made. If you meet a veteran, thank them. If you meet a veteran that needs help, help them. Have the courage to make a difference.

Operation Pay It Forward
Learn MoreWHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
STANDING BESIDE THOSE
WHO STOOD FOR US
Our mission is simple at its core: to show genuine appreciation for our fighting veterans by reconnecting them with the passions that bring them peace, camaraderie, and purpose. Through outdoor activities and shared experiences, we help veterans rediscover enjoyment, confidence, and community.
Every veteran who participates is encouraged to “Pay It Forward” by reaching out to their brothers and sisters who may be struggling and could benefit from time in the outdoors to refocus on what truly matters.
Project Healing Waters
Learn MoreOur Mission
Healing America’s Veterans through the therapeutic art of fly fishing.
Project Healing Waters aims to foster restoration, resilience, community, and lasting connections in the journey towards healing.
How we help:
We are a leading nonprofit using fly fishing as therapeutic intervention for active military and Veterans. Through our curriculum of fly fishing, fly casting, fly tying, and rod building, participants experience nature’s restorative healing powers while building camaraderie, connectedness, and community—directly increasing their sense of belonging, resilience, and post-traumatic growth. We are actively serving over 7,000 Veteran participants across all service eras with support from almost 4,000 dedicated volunteers.

Olympic Peninsula Fishing Innovations
Learn MoreOlympic Peninsula Fishing Innovations (OPFI) is a small 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that designs and
produces unique and adaptive devices that allow individuals with physical limitations to participate in
fly-fishing and fly-tying. The products are available at no charge to anyone who could benefit from the
adaptive design. After meeting individuals who were unable to enjoy these activities due to a lost limb,
trauma, or brain injury that impaired the function of their arm or hand, OPFI was formed and the
Evergreen Hand and Casting Partner products were developed.
OPFI hopes these products can bring independence, peace, and a little fun to those facing a challenging recovery.
We believe fly-fishing and fly-tying are relaxing activities that hold recreational and therapeutic value and can
help someone battling PTSD, depression, and hopelessness by healing the mind, body, and spirit.
Every day individuals around the country start therapy after a stroke, accident, surgical recovery, or work-related injury affects their ability to function. We hope our products bring independence, peace of mind and a little fun to those facing a challenging a recovery. Those individuals want to hear what they can do instead of what they can’t.
